APR 17, 2020 — The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation presented 24 awards recognizing the best of preservation in Georgia. “This is the Trust’s 43rd annual Preservation Awards,” said Mark C. McDonald, president and CEO of the Trust. “This year’s winners represent a tremendous dedication to restoring and revitalizing Georgia’s historic buildings and communities.”
Two Ray, Ellis & LaBrie Consulting projects were awarded Excellence in Rehabilitation, the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center Buildings in Augusta, Georgia and the R.J. Taylor Memorial Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia.
Excellence in Rehabilitation Awards recognize projects that make compatible use of a building through repair, alterations or additions while preserving features of the property that convey its historic value. You can read more about each project in the links above.
